When I receive unjustified criticism (in my opinion, of course), or when I am blamed by someone whose approval I took for granted, running I always cover a distance a little longer than usual. So I make my body consume the part of disappointment. It is a way to recognize, to the limit of my abilities, my weakness of being human. To recognize it at the lowest level, the physical level.
