One of the best things about working at GLAAD is getting to celebrate the smart, funny, moving AND LGBTQ-inclusive stories we are seeing—in English and en Español. Sadly, this year, because of the worldwide health crisis, we are not able to announce award recipients as scheduled during the GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies. We will be announcing how award recipients will be announced soon.

With so many of us spending evenings (and days) at home, this may be the perfect time to catch up on TV shows and movies and journalism you may have missed. Have you watched the shows nominated for best series in Spanish-language? Do you know about cute couples like #Aristemo and #Juliantina or #Omander from Élite on Netfix? You should!

Most certainly worth enjoying and celebrating are the Spanish-language films (and one in Portuguese) nominated for Outstanding Film – Limited Release. They are:

• Pain and Glory
• Socrates
• This is Not Berlin

These are among several excellent films from Mexico, Central and Latin America to have come out in recent years. Find them and watch them!

So many Latinx moms and dads and members of the Trans Latina Coalition, the Latino Equality Alliance, Somos Familia and other organizations nationwide told their stories in everything from CNNE in New York to Telemundo 44 and Arizona’s Noticiero Univision, Los Angeles’ Univision 34, to the big morning shows Despierta América and Un Nuevo Día.
