A new comedic short quickly racking up hits on YouTube underscores just how ridiculous anti-gay discrimination and bigotry really is. Titled, “We Don’t Serve Gays”, the video was made by popular YouTuber Ray William Johnson.

Johnson describes the video on YouTube with a tongue-in-cheek sensibility that is true to the video’s comedy: “This one time [fellow YouTuber] Booze Lightyear and I served a gay guy in restaurant we were working at. Immediately afterwards, we all went straight to Hell. True story.”

The video is in essence a riff on all the ridiculous things a gay person might hear from a business in today’s current climate of anti-gay ‘right to discriminate’ bills. In it, a variety of servers berate a gay customer with a barrage of absurd reasons why their establishment cannot serve gays. For instance, the restaurant can’t serve gays because they don’t want the place reeking of vaseline and Madonna. Or have their internet crashing because of all the Grindr usage.
