Pride Message

It was Nottingham Pride yesterday. A great street part and event.
My wife and I always plan a visit to Nottingham to coincide withe Pride. I normally hang about at the start of the parade looking for strangers while my wofe soes some retail therapy and then we both follow the parade through the city.
My wife broke her foot 3 weeks ago and we sort of decided our normal routine wasn’t practical.
I got bit / stung on Thursday in the record high temperatures and my face swelled up, so I only decided to go to town at the last moment,
I missed the start of the parade, so no strangers shots ( you cannot really do a stranger interview during the parade as it is really noisy and not practical
I saw this lady as the parade made it’s way past the council house and noted she had a message to say.
As the parade winded it way towards Hockley I took a short cut up a side street to meet the start of the parade,
I then saw the lady again and asked her if I could take her photo , Her message was on a laminated card, the bottom right hand corner is reflecting some light, but you can still understand the issues she is pointing you towards. The message is about transgender people in the army . President Donald Trump take note
I would have loved this to be one of my stranger shots as there would have been a good back story, but maybe the story was in her message
