Pride Goes Live: Hannah Hart and GLAAD to Host Livestream Variety Program, ‘Pride Live,’ for LGBTQ Youth
We are ending Pride Month with a bang! On June 29, join us at GLAAD’s YouTube channel for “Pride Live,” a livestream event featuring LGBTQ celebrities and influencers performing to raise $50,000 for GLAAD’s youth initiatives. The event, conceived by online personality and GLAAD board member Hannah Hart, will stream live at the YouTube Space in Los Angeles and will be hosted by GLAAD in conjunction with Grindr’s online magazine INTO, BuzzFeed, and Hart herself.
The multi-stage celebration will feature several LGBTQ personalities and celebrities taking part in a remake of the classic “live telethon” format, with all proceeds going towards GLAAD’s youth initiatives, including its Amp Your Voice campaign, which helps young people organize and engage in the political process by registering to vote and emboldening them to speak up and speak out for the issues close to their hearts.
The event will utilize YouTube’s Super Chat feature to interact with viewers by allowing them to donate to have their comments “pinned” to the top of the livestream and to ask the on-screen talent questions in a truly interactive experience. The variety program will also feature live performances and interactive games that viewers can participate in alongside the personalities onstage.
Among the performers are YouTube sensation Sam Tsui, The Voice finalist Stephanie Rice, soul singer Shea Diamond, and Wrabel. Other featured LGBTQ personalities include Zeke Smith from Survivor, Isis King of America’s Next Top Model, Transparent actress Trace Lysette, comedian Cameron Esposito, fellow YouTube personality Kingsley, and many more!
I am proud to announce #PrideLive three LIVE hours of games, guests, and giveaways! Be there or be square! (Even if you’re square, still be there, we are very body positive and love all shapes and sizes.)

“There is something exhilarating about being a part of a live moment,” said Hannah Hart, television host and New York Times best-selling author with more than 5 million followers. “As an entertainer who got my start on YouTube, I want the next generation to get to know GLAAD as intimately as I do. I wanted to launch ‘Pride Live,’ to showcase creative queer forces — from both online and off — to deliver an unforgettable show for a cause dear to my heart. I am so thrilled to be partnered with Buzzfeed and INTO to bring this show to life.”
