Over 400 of NYC’s brightest nightlife stars checked into BPM at the Out Hotel for the 16th Annual GLAM Awards. Local drag queen Cherry Jubliee  presented the event, hosted by RuPaul‘s Drag Race Season 6 winner Bianca Del Rio and after dark icon Michael Musto. Alexis Michelle, Cazwell, Bob The Drag Queen, Cazwell, Chelsea Piers, Mila Jam, and Pusse Couture were standouts among the talented performers riling up the crowd with beats by DJ David Serrano. Drag icon Sweetie (To Wong Fu) was presented with the “Living Legend Award” in an evening filled with laughter, tears and applause. Additional winners included Queerty contributor Chris Harder (Best Burlesque), Justin Luke (Best Party Promoter), Scotty Rox (Best DJ), Jeff Eason (Best Nightlife Photographer), Sutton Lee Seymour (Breakthrough Artist), Paige Turner (Best Video). There were many surprises during the night, including Bianca Del Rio who presented the “Best Comedy Award” to Bob the Drag Queen, dressed as Dorothy from the opening Wizard of Oz skit, after announcing he hadn’t been in NYC all year, but that Bob really deserved it. Later in the evening, VH1’s Mob Wives star Natalie Guercio and her boyfriend London Rene joined Chrissy Monroe and Briah Bettencourt to present Bianca, Cherry and Michael with a custom-made cake by Isabella’s Creations. Most of the crowd moved downtown to WestGay at West Way for Frankie Sharp’s weekly throwback party that brought home the coveted “Best Club Night” Award that evening. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees!

Shepard Smith Points Out States That Fought Integration Are Now Against Gay Marriage: VIDEO

Shepard Smith Points Out States That Fought Integration Are Now Against Gay Marriage: VIDEO

Shepard Smith Gay Marriage Supreme Court

Another one for the “Well OBVIOUSLY” files: Fox’s Shepard Smith addressed the Supreme Court’s decision to review the Sixth Circuit gay marriage cases Friday and, while speaking with Wall Street Journal editor John Bussey, pointed out a very uncomfortable truth:

Not in every case, but in most cases, the same states which were fighting integration are fighting this as well. Those states which always seem to be behind the curve for reasons which are explainable and understandable.

Bussey tries to undermine Shepard’s statement by stating that there’s “still disagreement on this issue within the American population,” to which Shepard flawlessly ripostes, “There’s still disagreement on segregation.”

You can watch the back and forth AFTER THE JUMP…
