OneDrive is now integrated with Skype for easier file sharing and collaboration
Skype users can now share links to files and folders they want to collaborate on in a chat using the OneDrive extension for Skype. Available in all markets, languages, and platforms, the latest version of Skype now also supports OneDrive—enabling you to quickly browse, search, and share files from your personal OneDrive storage into Skype chats. With this integration, sharing Office documents, PDFs, or any of the 300+ file types that OneDrive supports is as easy as a couple of clicks.
This is particularly handy when you use OneDrive to collaborate with other people to edit or review the same document. It is also useful when don’t want to send a large file over Skype. With the OneDrive add-in for Skype, you can just send a link that the recipient can click to view the file.
How to use OneDrive for Skype
When you sign in to Skype with a Microsoft Account, the OneDrive associated with that account is available to you under the Content and tools panel.
Simply open the chat that you want to share your file and click or tap the 
Add-ins button to display the Content and tools panel, and then choose OneDrive. From there, select a file stored in OneDrive and click or tap Send to share in your chat.
If your contact is on a mobile device and has the OneDrive application installed on the phone, the file opens directly in the app—not in the browser. If your contact doesn’t have the OneDrive application installed, the file opens in the OneDrive website. If the user is on a desktop, the file opens in the browser.
