Tonight, Supergirl returns to The CW for season four. As well as continuing to tell the story of lesbian fan favorite character Alex, this new season will introduce Kara’s newest co-worker, Nia Nal, a trans character played by trans actress and advocate Nicole Maines. In addition to working with Kara, Nia is also the superhero Dreamer, making her the first transgender superhero on television. We can’t wait to see Nia’s story unfold over the course of the season.
