Must-See LGBT TV 4/3-9: 27th Annual #glaadawards on Logo, 'Shadowhunters' season finale, documentary 'Mapplethorpe' premieres

Don’t miss the one hour 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards special only on Logo this Monday! The GLAAD Media Awards will be honoring both Demi Lovato and Ruby Rose for their commitment to LGBT advocacy, along with celebrating stories that are moving acceptance forward. This TV event will include special glimpses of the show, backstage with the stars, and the red carpet. 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards: Monday, 10pm on Logo.

The documentary Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures premieres on HBO Monday night. This film follows the controversial artist’s outrageous life through rediscovered interviews, and intimate revelations from friends, family, and lovers. Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures: Monday, 9pm on HBO.

Freeform’s sci-fi drama Shadowhunters wraps its first season Tuesday. After his kiss with Magnus, Alec faces his parents who don’t approve of his decision. Meanwhile, Jace is determined to find Valentine and Simon and Clary work to heal her mother but the solution may just undo the Downworlder treaty and hurt Simon’s clan. Shadowhunters: Tuesday, 9pm on Freeform.
