LGBT-centric TV shows and movies were also honored in several categories. Several cast members of Modern Family, Orange is the New Black and Transparent received nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

In film, Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander were nominated for The Danish Girl and Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara were nominated for their roles in Carol.
