Equality Florida is showing how important it is to remember the victims and to take a stand for justice and equality for all. The organization recently launched their #ForThe49 campaign, representing the 49 victims of the shooting.
As part of the campaign, Equality Florida is asking participants to take a photo or short video to explain why they are taking a stand #ForThe49. Users across all social platforms have shared their #ForThe49 posts:
Today we launched our pledge #ForThe49! You can join us by posting a photo or video explaining why taking a stand #ForThe49 is important to you. Make sure to use #ForThe49 when posting. Together we’ll uproot hate and move #EqualityForward. #OneOrlando #WeAreOrlando #OrlandoStrong #orlandounited

The #ForThe49 campaign goes beyond social media activism, too. Equality Florida is asking participants to sign their pledge to take a stand #ForThe49. In addition, the campaign encourages people to share their support with a loved one, friend or neighbor, as the Pulse tragedy emphasized the need to accept all people as they are.
