It should have been Nottingham Pride this weekend, which is always a great photo opportunity for someone like myself who loves street photography.
Like all the events in Nottingham’s summer events calender, the celebration was cancelled due to Covid-19
I’ve been photographing Pride since 2015 and thought I would go to my back catalogue of photos and post a photo from a previous Pride event.
This is Simone, a flickr friend. I arranged to do a mini photoshoot with Simone before the Pride event started.
It was a really windy day and Simone had problems with the wind blowing her long hair across her face. We did however find a great spot for a few shots. This is Simone outside the Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery.
I suggested Simone sat on the wall and look over her right shoulder towards me. Simone struck up the great pose, which showcased her Pride outfit and lovely relaxed smile and i clicked away to capture the moment
