In this week’s episode of Jimmy Fowlie’s Go-go Boy Interrupted, disgraced former dancer Danny Carter explores a job opportunity that requires pants.
And yes, it’s awkward and wonderful to witness him trying to play off his three DUI’s to the mother of the children he’s being interviewed to babysit for. “The second one I only got because the person I hit was a police officer.”
But despite playing a caricature of an utterly clueless L.A. gay for laughs (and we’re laughing), you get the sense that there is an impending crash-and-burn for Danny. He is, after all, drunk at his job interview. Even in comedy make-believe land, the truth has a role in the story.
