The Adventure
Honey set out next for the realm of Opera. The merfolk in the Isle of Aquarius told them of this place. It was supposedly the most decadent of all the realms that The Junction had pulled from the mists this year.
And being a nymph our adventurer thought it just the place that for them to be. As Honey arrived, they were not disappointed. Huge elegant statues were carved into the very buildings and cliffsides that housed the city. Every home and shop looked as if it hosted the most elite of the prima donnas and divas.
‘Well, this is where I belong!’ thought the over indulgent nymph. They wandered from shop to shop, purchasing a thing here, and a thing there until they felt like they belonged.
One denizen of Opera saw our adventurer on one of the many balconies and called out to them ‘Belladonna Gloriana!’ with a wave. The nymph beamed in delight. They of course thought this excursion into Opera to be purely for fun and just a little moment for themself.
Of course like all realms of the Fairelands, this was not the case. As Honey turned the corner down one street way they found the most curious of items. Next to one of the many statues that decorated the realm, was a most curious mirror.
As the adventurer approached it, the looking glass spoke to Honey.
‘What is your question?’ It spoke.
The nymph thought for a moment, and asked what will save my home? The mirror shimmered and an image appeared. Not the reflection of the nymph, but of their home, filled with people, filled with love, free from the insidious magics that currently plague part of the faewylds.
Honey was shocked as the image shimmered again and returned to their reflection. The nymph looked around as people passed by but no one seemed to notice them or the mirror.
’Even here, the Fairelands keep teaching me, helping me.’ thought Honey.
