Europe Wants to Hear from the LGBT Community

Europe’s official ministries of tourism are interested in making your travel to Europe and even more inviting one.  Europe already enjoys some of the most friendly LGBT laws and policies in the world. Twenty three out of twenty eight EU countries support same sex unions.  Same-sex sexual activity is legal in all EU states and discrimination in employment has been banned since 2000.

The ministers of tourism in Europe want to hear from us–the LGBT community.

Give your feedback to the European Tourism Commission (ETC) here.

ETC’s Members are the National Tourist Organisations (NTOs) of 33 European countries, including 24 EU member states.

European Union: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.

Others: Iceland, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey.

Sharing your thoughts allows politicians, community organizations, and businesses to understand what your biggest interests are and to make sure the LGBT is counted.

Giving your voice will here will be reviewed and discussed in Brussels by Europe.  This is a critical time in the world. Europe is leading its efforts to welcome LGBT.  This summer in fact Paris will host the Gay Games.

These ministers are ambassadors against discrimination, promoting mutual understanding, fighting stigma, and advocates for social change.

“We will continue working for a better world, in which neither terrorism no homophobia is part of our reality”- said Eduardo Santander, Executive Director of ETC. “Through our recently signed partnership with IGLTA, we emphasize once more that the European travel sector supports inclusiveness and strongly condemns any acts that aim to instigate fear.”

Share your thoughts and plans should take less than ten minutes, but will help leaders understand our community’s needs more.

Be sure to give your feedback to Europe.
