Did you know Australia’s throwing a drag festival inspired by Priscilla, Queen of the Desert?
A drag extravaganza named Broken Heel Festival is taking place in Australia next month, from 11-13 September.
Located in the tiny mining city of Broken Hill, in the middle of the Australian outback, the festival will celebrate the 21-year anniversary of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, the iconic 90s film.
The festival even boasts a Q&A session with some of the movie’s cast, as well as writer/director Stephan Elliott.
Attendees of the festival will get to enjoy a wealth of day and night activities, such as getting a makeover at Sir Madam Salon, cooling off at the Swim & Slide pool party and dancing the night away at the Frock On or Frock Off Party.
Your drag queen and king hosts will include Philmah Bocks, Art Simone, Minnie Cooper, Charisma Belle, Selma Body and Zackari Watt.
One of the venues includes The Palace Hotel, as featured in the film.
