Cyndi Lauper Praises 50 Cent for 'Evolving' On LGBT Issues – VIDEO
Cyndi Lauper says that 50 Cent is now a “good guy” despite encouraging gay people to commit suicide in 2010, reports Pink News.
The rapper – real name Curtis Jackson – tweeted at the time “If you a man and your over 25 and you don’t eat pu**y just kill yourself damn it. The world will be a better place.”
In the same year, the rapper tweeted: “Perez Hilton calld [sic] me douchebag so I had my homie shoot up a gay wedding. wasnt his but still made me feel better.”
However, Jackson was added to the line-up this year for Cyndi Lauper’s annual True Colors Fund Home for the Holidays concert in support of homeless LGBT youth and in an interview with Buzzfeed, she said:
“50, god bless him – he’s a good guy.
“People evolve…that is what you have to leave yourself open for. You change the world when you change your mind.
“I want to inspire kids to show that they have hope.”
Watch Cyndi and Emily West perform “True Colors” at this year’s Home for the Holidays concert, which took place last weekend, AFTER THE JUMP…
