Madonna's 'Living For Love' Video Is The Singer's Best Work In A Decade

Madonna's 'Living For Love' Video Is The Singer's Best Work In A Decade
Madonna dropped off the music video for “Living for Love” on Snapchat’s doorstep Thursday afternoon, inching closer toward the (official) release of her 13th studio album, “Rebel Heart,” on March 10.

The clip finds Madonna playing matador to a host of men dressed as bulls in a red theater that glitters like a Latin-infused “Moulin Rouge!” Its imagery matches the anthemic heft for which many applauded the track when it hit iTunes in December. For a song that carries the torch of “Express Yourself,” the singer dons a leotard reminiscent of 2005’s iconic “Hung Up” and emerges victorious amid an army that stands no chance against a warrior who “picked up my crown [and] put it back on my head” — a sentiment especially potent in the wake of the multiple leaks that have plagued her new music.

This is Madonna’s theater, after all. Football players fawned over her in “Give Me All Your Luvin'” and she gyrated her way through a callback to the provocateur years in the black-and-white “Girl Gone Girl,” sleek videos whose self-referential undertones did not double as suitable extensions of Madonna’s legacy. Here, no matter the aforementioned comparisons to her 33-year career, she channels the new breakup anthem for something else: Madonna presents herself as queen of the big top without relying on allusions to her own résumé to prove she is the master of the postmodern pop scene. She uses her ongoing prowess to vanquish the beasts who grunt and shove their way across her stage. This is the Madonna video we’ve waited a decade for, and it hails from what sounds like the makings of the Madonna album we’ve anticipated for just as long.

As of now, you’ll have to head to Snapchat’s Discover page to watch the “Living for Love” clip, which was directed by French duo Julien Choquart and Camille Hirigoyen, otherwise known as J.A.C.K., and edited by Danny B. Tull, who worked on “4 Minutes” and several other Madonna videos. HuffPost Entertainment will embed the video here as soon as it appears online.

You can also catch Madonna performing “Living for Love” at Sunday’s Grammy Awards.

Dear All, Here is the Link to the LAY ME DOWN music video. This song holds a very dear place in my heart. With this video myself and Ryan Hope the director have decided to make a statement and showcase something we passionately believe in. 8 Cold Remedies That Scientifically Work: VIDEO

8 Cold Remedies That Scientifically Work: VIDEO

ASAP Science Cold

I could have used this video last week when I was bedridden for a good two or three days solid.

The boys at ASAPScience have put together a rundown of the eight cold remedies that not only work but also have a verifiable scientific basis for why they do so. Chicken soup makes the cut, of course, but so do honey and garlic, and even though AirBorne is a snake oil preventative, vitamin C actually does help decrease the duration and severity of the illness that ails you.

You can start putting together your cold-buster grocery list when you watch the video AFTER THE JUMP…

Lance Bass Attends 'Love Is Love' Mass Wedding Of 100 Straight And Same-Sex Couples In Florida

Lance Bass Attends 'Love Is Love' Mass Wedding Of 100 Straight And Same-Sex Couples In Florida
Just ahead of their forthcoming television special, *NSYNC star Lance Bass and his new husband, Michael Turchin, touched down in Florida for a mass wedding ceremony celebrating the union of 100 couples.

The 35-year-old pop star, who wed Turchin last December, served as the official ambassador for Fort Lauderdale’s “Love Is Love” event on Feb. 5. The 100 couples included both same-sex and straight pairs, with some tying the knot for the first time and others renewing their vows.

Love Is Love” also unofficially marked the start of marriage equality in the Sunshine State, where the first same-sex couples began marrying on Jan. 5. The newlyweds and recommitted couples represented 18 U.S. states, as well as London, Italy and South America, according to press representatives.

It’s been a whirlwind week for Bass and Turchin, who have been in the midst of a publicity tour for their new E! special, “Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding.”

The 90-minute show, which airs Feb. 5, will reportedly mark the first time a same-sex celebrity wedding has been televised.

After Exhausting All Other Options, Leading Evangelical Leader Comes Out As Gay

After Exhausting All Other Options, Leading Evangelical Leader Comes Out As Gay

A Church“Basically what happened was I fell in love,” begins leading British evangelical leader Jayne Ozanne, 46, as she publicly tells her story of coming out of the closet.

For the last decade, Jayne has risen up the ranks of the evangelical faction of the Church of England as a lay faith leader, choosing her place among ministries that actively suppress the idea of homosexuality.

But here’s the shocker! She struggled with aligning her own feelings with those of her holier-than-thou church. Must be the first time that’s ever happened.

She participated in various forms of “deliverance ministry” similar to the “ex-gay” movement in America, and wouldn’t you know it? That didn’t work either.

In fact, the attempt at “deliverance” was so harmful it led to a nervous breakdown. “[Deliverance Ministry was like] trying to cast out myself from myself,” Ozanne told Christian Today.

Her psychiatrist ended up giving her a piece of good advice that her church never would have even considered. She told her that maybe it’s time to switch religions.

Jayne left her church, and has now accepted a role as the leader of Accepting Evangelicals, which calls itself a “network of Evangelical Christians who believe the time has come to move towards the acceptance of faithful, loving same-sex partnerships at every level of church life, and the development of a positive Christian ethic for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.”

Which — OK, better than nothing we guess. But maybe, just maybe, if the evangelical church can be wrong about homosexuality, might it stand to reason that they could be wrong about other things? Just throwing that out there.

Here’s Jayne telling her story:

Ian McKellan's Sherlock Holmes Has Arrived – VIDEO

Ian McKellan's Sherlock Holmes Has Arrived – VIDEO

The first teaser footage of Bill Condon’s take on Sherlock Holmes starring Ian McKellan has dropped, and it’s every bit as charming as you might have deduced. McKellan’s Holmes is a 93 year-old retiree spending his days in the English countryside reminiscing about his former life as a detective as stories about him gain popularity in early 1940s cinema. Now more beekeeper than detective, Holmes has largely left crime-solving behind save for the memories of a few unsolved cases that continue to pique his interest.
