Study Finds That Poor Dental Hygiene Can Kill Your Erections
This just in: A study out of Taiwan has found that forgetting to brush your teeth can impact your ability to maintain an erection.
That’s right, fellas. All those nights you skipped brushing because you were too tired or too lazy or too drunk could be killing your boners.
Researchers found that guys with erectile dysfunction were also 79 percent more likely to have been diagnosed with chronic periodontal disease compared to guys without ED.

Chronic periodontal disease is an infection in the gums that happens as a result of poor brushing. The gums become inflamed and recede from the teeth, creating pockets where bacteria can fester and spread to the surrounding bone.
Inflamed gums can also cause damage your endothelial cells, which line the insides of all your blood vessels. Damage to your endothelial cells can lead in decreased blood flow, resulting in an inability to get hard.
The good news? All of these problems can be treated if caught early. Treatment can be as quick and easy as a deep cleaning from your dentist.
The better news? All of these problems can be prevented by simply brushing your teeth for two minutes twice a day and visiting your dentist for regular cleanings and checkups.
If the threat of losing your boners isn’t enough to scare you into brushing your teeth tonight, perhaps this image is:

Airbnb Removes User Who Evicted Gay Couple From Home in Galveston, Texas: VIDEO
A same-sex couple was kicked out of a home they rented in Galveston, Texas, on Airbnb after the owner discovered they were gay, according to a report from KTRK-TV.
Airbnb has responded by removing the owner from the popular home-sharing site, saying it has a zero tolerance policy for discrimination.
Jonathan Wang and his partner, Brent, booked two nights in the home for a weekend getaway to Galveston for a friend’s wedding. After returning from a reception on Friday night, they encountered the owner, identified only as Heather. From KTRK:
“Heather asked me, where my wife was. Who is this person? I said it was my significant other Brent. She said I thought you were bringing a wife. I said I didn’t say that specifically. I said is that going to be OK? She said. It’s not,” said Wang.
Wang said the hosts told them to get out. He said he began packing his things.
“She also commented while we were going upstairs that was their bedroom upstairs so they were even more uncomfortable with it,” said Wang.
Wang and has partner had nowhere else to go but were eventually able to find a hotel room. As it turns out, there was a disclaimer on the bottom of the Airbnb listing that said the hosts are “straight friendly”:
“I’m completely of my legal realms and morals,” said host Heather via phone Wednesday.
We asked if she rents to gay couples. Heather responded, “That’s none of your business. That’s my private home.”
In addition to removing Heather from the site, Airbnb gave Wang and his partner a refund:
“We have a zero tolerance policy for discrimination on Airbnb. The host in question has been removed from the site. Airbnb has clear guidelines that a host or a guest may not promote hate or bigotry.”
Neither Texas nor federal law prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation in public accommodations. Galveston, despite its reputation as a gay-friendly travel destination, also lacks local LGBT protections. But who knows, perhaps this incident will serve as the impetus for changing that.

Where In The World Is Former Rep. Aaron Schock These Days?
When Rep. Aaron Schock resigned from office last month following a series of revelations about his spending habits, he said he was leaving with “sadness and humility.” (Not so much the latter, since he compared himself to Lincoln in his farewell speech.) He might also have added that he was leaving with no forwarding address. Schock has disappeared so completely that even process servers can’t find him.
Two weeks ago, Howard Foster, a former donor, filed suit against the lavish-spending Schock for fraud. But Foster’s attorney is now complaining that he hasn’t been able to track down the resolutely heterosexual gym bunny.
Attorney Daniel Kurowski says that he found the Peoria address that Schock listed as his residence vacant. Schock’s attorneys did not respond to Kurowski’s inquiries. Schock is “certainly aware of the lawsuit, from what I can tell,” Kurowski told a court. Kurowski did not specify if he looked in any closets.
The disappearance is particularly ironic given Schock’s previous proclivity to post pictures of himself in exotic locales, preferably in poses that show off his athletic prowess and well-waxed chest.
Meantime, the process servers aren’t having a hard time finding Schock’s former staffers. So far six of them have been served with subpoenas to testify before a grand jury investigating whether Schock misspent campaign and Congressional funds. Schock may want to enjoy his freedom while he can. It might not last much longer.

While the Bruce Jenner special was sensitive and educational, it still reduces transgender issues to the spectacle of celebrity transitions instead of discrimination, intolerance, and violence.

Serafina Palandech Talks Hip Chick Farms and LGBT Equality (AUDIO)
Dear Blog Editor, Please Use Embedded Photo For Live Post & For Social Image…Also Mp3 Player Does Not Appear In Preview But Will Posted…Thanks! 🙂
This week I talked with entrepreneur Serafina Palandech, Co-Founder of Hip Chick Farms a California based LGBT owned organic, frozen poultry product company providing easy meal solutions for busy families. Hip Chick Farms was recently featured on the Food Network’s “Food Fortunes” where they joined food savvy entrepreneurs from across the nation to seek startup funding. The startup company was founded by Serafina Palandech and her wife Jennifer Johnson a former sous chef at Chez Panisse under Alice Waters who was credited with starting the global sustainable foods movement. For the last 14 years Jen has served as the Executive Chef for Ann and Gordon Getty in San Francisco. Hip Chick Farms makes healthy gourmet, artisan frozen products that provide time-crunched families delicious and easy food solutions. All of their products are made with whole natural foods and they never use any artificial ingredients in their products. At present they have four free-range chicken products including gluten-free chicken nuggets, chicken meatballs, gluten-free chicken wings and organic chicken fingers. They recently developed a partnership with Whole Foods and will be expanding their product line as well as increasing availability in other supermarket venues nationwide. We talked to Serafina about she would like to accomplish with Hip Chicks Farms and her spin on our LGBT issues.
LISTEN:
Now that marriage equality is in the hands of the U.S. Supreme Court we asked what she would like to see happen for LGBT equality in the next few years. Palandech stated:
Jen and I spoke about this at length and we both share that marriage equality is incredibly important and that we’re happy to see it progressing the way that it is but we also believe that trans issues and equal equality for trans folk are incredibly important within the LGBTQ community. We need to shift our focus there and more of our energy to ensuring access to education, access to jobs, safety and equality under the law for trans people. Secondly, I would say that women’s equality within the LGBTQ movement sometimes does not get as promoted. So equality, equal pay for women is a very important issue to us as well.
Serafina Palandech graduated University of California, Santa Cruz with a BA in Women’s Studies and Art. She’s a veteran nonprofit executive, project manager, strategic planner and event organizer who before co-founding Hip Chick Farms spent more than fifteen years helping nonprofit organizations access private funding streams through event production and corporate/donor relationships. In her role as Event Director for MZA Events, Inc., she oversaw the planning and execution of AIDS Walk San Francisco, a 1.5 million dollar campaign that raised more than 3.7 million dollars per year with some 25,000 registrants and 400,000 individual donors. Just prior to launching Hip Chicks, Jen founded and ran Tugboat Events, a boutique event production company which produced charity events for organizations in the Bay Area.
Serafina, Jen and daughter Ruby Rose live on their farm the Ramblin’ Rose in Sebastopol, California. They believe in the value of family and together building a business that helps their local economy, farmers and suppliers.
