One of the most prominent areas in LGBT history, San Francisco’s Castro District is a vibrant, colourful and diverse neighbourhood of the city. Full of history, it’s an area that has come to symbolise political activism, especially of people such as Harvey Milk who was sadly murdered in November 1978.
