Can we talk about all the gay culture happening on Jerry Falwell Jr.’s Instagram page?
QUESTION: What do rainbows, shirtless men, young twinks, pageant queens, and Elton John all have in common?
ANSWER: They’re all prominently featured on Jerry Falwell Jr.’s Instagram page!
The homophobic president of Liberty University is back in the headlines after some questionable, ahem, dealings between him and his 20-something personal trainer, Ben Crosswhite, were made public.
Last week, Reuters revealed that Falwell once arranged to give Crosswhite a sprawling, multi-million dollar, 18-acre fitness facility belonging to his non-profit university plus an additional $650,000 for almost nothing in return.
This was in addition to the $4.7 million he gave to his 20-something pool boy, Giancarlo Granda, who he met at a hotel while he and his wife were on vacation.
Now, a closer look at Falwell’s Instagram page offers a hidden but telling story of a man who has made it his life’s work to promote the oppression of LGBTQ people.

Of course, we’re not suggesting that any of this means Falwell is gay or bisexual. But you can’t deny that, for a guy who hates LGBTQ people so much, he sure seems to have a deep appreciation for gay culture.
Or maybe we’re reading too much into it.
