Andy Cohen, Stephen Colbert, James Corden, and Jimmy Kimmel join Access, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, Univision plus stars of Will & Grace, Grey’s Anatomy, and How to Get Away with Murder for Spirit Day!

Thanks to everyone’s help #SpiritDay earned over 1.5 billion social media impressions and lit up the newsfeeds of LGBTQ youth with support. 

Late night hosts, entertainment shows and Thursday night TV stars closed out Spirit Day by wearing purple and sending loud messages of acceptance to LGBTQ youth. 

Late night hosts Stephen Colbert, James Corden, and Jimmy Kimmel joined anchors of Univision, Entertainment Tonight, Access, and Extra’s Mario Lopez for Spirit Day. Lopez wore a Spirit Day pin in Las Vegas introducing GLAAD Media Award recipient Britney Spears!

On Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” host Andy Cohen introduced the guest “bartender” for the night, the show’s mascot the Gay Shark. The Gay Shark was wearing a purple Spirit Day shirt that said “I’m Against Bullying.” Cohen explained that he and the Gay Shark were both wearing purple to stand against bullying for Spirit Day.

The characters of NBC’s “Will & Grace” were spotted in purple throughout the episode and behind-the-scenes. Shondaland’s Thursday night line-up on ABC also got into the spirit with cast and crew members of “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Station 19” all taking pics!
