TRUMP-PENCE ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCES PLAN TO ELIMINATE IMPORTANT LGBTQ NON-DISCRIMINATION PROTECTIONS IN HEALTH CARE: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is proposing a major change to the administrative rule interpreting Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to remove explicit protections for LGBTQ people in healthcare programs and activities by excluding protections from discrimination based on sex stereotyping and gender identity. “The administration puts LGBTQ people at greater risk of being denied necessary and appropriate health care solely based on their sexual orientation or gender identity,” said HRC Government Affairs Director David Stacy (@david_stacy). • And, it was also announced last week that Trump-Pence also plans to make it easier for adoption agencies to discriminate against LGBTQ families and same-sex couples. More from Axios.

Quite literally the definition of cruel and evil. Our leaders should be making it easier for children in need of a loving home to find one, not trying to find new ways to license discrimination. This is unconscionable and an attack on families. t.co/k0m9MfnTt8
