NEW REPORT SHOWS 40% INCREASE IN CHILD WELFARE AGENCIES WORKING WITH HRC FOUNDATION TOWARD FULLY LGBTQ-INCLUSIVE & AFFIRMING CARE: Today, HRC Foundation released Change-Makers in Child Welfare 2020 — a report highlighting the Foundation’s All Children — All Families (ACAF) program’s partnership with 100 organizations across the country working to improve the services they provide to the LGBTQ community, including children in foster care and prospective foster and adoptive parents. “Today, children in foster care are facing a national crisis on top of a personal crisis. Our work to end anti-LGBTQ discrimination in child welfare is more important than ever,” said HRC President Alphonso David (@AlphonsoDavid). “The organizations highlighted in this report are working with the Human Rights Campaign to ensure anti-LGBTQ bias does not get in the way of life-saving services for children and families.” More from HRC.

HRC LAUNCHES VOTE EQUAL, VOTE SAFE INITIATIVE: “In the upcoming months, the Human Rights Campaign will work with leaders across the country to educate voters about how they can safely make their voices heard at the ballot box,” said HRC President Alphonso David. “The Vote Equal, Vote Safe initiative will build on our proven relationships across the country to advocate for the increased funding and new regulations needed to ensure safe and flexible voting options.” More from Washington Blade and HRC.
