A year after Pulse, LGBTQ people and their allies remember lives lost
A year ago today, Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, FL was hosting a Latin Night for LGBTQ Latinx folks as one of its many celebrations scheduled for Pride Month. 49 queer people with lives and loves, family and friends, partners and passions were killed that night. 49 queer people and allies who we will spend the rest of our lives remembering.
Queer and allied celebrities, politicians, and advocates took to Twitter this morning to urge followers to remember alongside us, sharing personal words of sorrow and healing alongside photographs of all the lives we lost on June 12th, 2016.

We will never forget the 49 LGBTQ people who died at Pulse. We will never stop fighting for those who did not have a chance to. It is fruitless to ask us to stop crying over Pulse. We will be shedding tears of resilience, resistance, and most importantly, love, until the day we die.
