Must-See LGBTQ TV: ‘Gentleman Jack’ premiere, and new season of ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’

On Monday, HBO’s new series Gentleman Jack premieres. Based on a true story, the 19th century period piece show follows Anne Lister whose letters speak of her relationship to other woman. In the premiere, Anne returns to Shibden Hall, having discovered that her would-be companion, the aristocratic Vere Hobart, has accepted a marriage proposal from a manGentleman Jack: Monday, 10pm on HBO.

The second season of Netflix’s GLAAD Media Award-nominated She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will be released on the streaming service on Friday. The show follows Adora, who can transform into magical warrior She-Ra, and gathers up a group of princesses to fight evil. The show is created by out writer and artist Noelle Stevenson, and features queer characters within the ensemble. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Friday on Netflix.
