The second season of Starz’ American Gods airs tonight. The first season introduced the conflicts between the Old Gods and the New Gods, as well as stories from humans and Gods all across the country. This include the love story between a Jinn and a cab driver named Salim. The two have been confirmed to continue their story in season two. In the premiere, Mr. Wednesday continues his quest to pitch the case for war to the Old Gods. American Gods: Sunday, 8pm on Starz.
Directly after American Gods, Starz will premiere their new surreal comedy Now Apocalypse, created by out filmmaker Gregg Araki. The show explores the story of the dating and sex life of a queer young man in Los Angeles, while he has visions of the end of the world. In the first episode, Ulysses Zane is struggling in the dating scene in LA. His best friend, Carly, is striving to become an actress. Uly’s roommate, Ford, is an aspiring screenwriter dating Severine, an astro-biological theorist. Now Apocalypse: Sunday, 9pm on Starz.
On Wednesday, a new episode of 9 Months with Courteney Cox will be released onto Facebook Watch. The show takes an intimate approach, giving viewers raw access to people from all over America of various race, religion, and class as they self-document their 9-month journey of pregnancy. The anticipated third season of Queer Eye will be released in full onto Netflix this Friday. The third season will follow the Fab Five (Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, and Jonathan Van Ness) as they make their way through Missouri, making over people’s homes and lives. This season sees the first time the group takes on a couple, a lesbian, and more. Queer Eye: Friday on Netflix.
