1999’s Gay Indie Classic ‘Trick’ to Get a Sequel
The 1999 gay classic Trick (see trailer above), which followed a young Broadway composer and a go-go boy as they tried to find a place to get together for the night, is getting a sequel, according to its director Jim Fall. Fall made the announcement in a post on Facebook.
He wrote: “So this is in the works for 2019……. just in time for the 20th (!!!) anniversary of TRICK next year.”
When pressed for details, Fall added: “Script is written, doing a reading with the cast soon, raising the money to make it all happen!!!”
Fall added in comments that Tori Spelling and drag queen Coco Peru would be in the film once again. YouTube comic Jimmy Fowlie is also attached. It’s not clear if Christian Campbell and J.P. Pitoc will be back to reprise the main roles. But Fall teased that “Scruff plays a role in bringing our two men back together again….”
