TWO LEADING MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATIONS DENOUNCE TRUMP-PENCE TRANS MILITARY BAN: The American Psychiatric Association and American Psychological Association called out the Pentagon’s claim that scientific evidence is “unclear” for treatment of gender dysphoria. “That’s really not true and it’s certainly not true among the actual experts,” said Dr. Jack Drescher, a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who is a distinguished fellow at the American Psychiatric Association. VOTING ENDS TODAY — ANCHORAGE RESIDENTS MUST REJECT DANGEROUS PROP 1: The discriminatory ballot measure would rip away crucial non-discrimination protections and enshrine discrimination into law by forcing transgender people to use facilities that are inconsistent with their gender identity.
