GLAAD is proud to be a community collaborator again this year at Outfest, the premiere Los Angeles LGBTQ+ film festival! This year, GLAAD is collaborating with Outfest to screen the film Saturday Church (dir. Damon Cardasis).

Saturday Church is the latest film from debuting director and writer Damon Cardasis, who was previously a producer for Maggie’s Plan (dir. Rebecca Miller). The film is a coming of age story centered on Ulysses (Luka Kain), a Bronx teen who finds refuge at a welcoming church in the West Village where “vogueing is more important than any sermon.” Saturday Church is a mini-musical that uses music and dance to follow Ulysses’ exploration of his own sexuality and gender identity. The screening of Saturday Church will take place on July 8th at 9:30 p.m. at the Director’s Guild of America in Los Angeles. RSVP to the Facebook event for the screening here!

Mention that you are a GLAAD reader while ordering tickets for Saturday Church over the phone at (213) 480-7065 or in person at the box office to receive an exclusive $2 discount. Tickets are also available online, but you must order over the phone or in person in order to receive the exclusive GLAAD discount. Be sure to get your tickets early, as seating is limited. Tickets for Outfest 2017 are on sale now online or in person at the Box Office at the Director’s Guild of America. The festival will run from July 6th – July 16th in Los Angeles.
