Blondie’s ‘Long Time’ Music Video is an Infectiously Wistful Tribute to NYC: WATCH

The timeless Debbie Harry continues her latest splash with last week’s video release of ‘Long Time,’ the second single from Blondie’s imminent new album Pollinator, their eleventh studio effort, due out next week on May 5.

The infectiously wistful song asks some pointed questions of a long-time intimate, and was co-written with Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes. Given the lyrical shout-outs to the Bowery and The Davenport Theatre, the video, directed by Dikael Rimmasch, is also a veteran’s tribute to New York City, with the band and city featuring downtown in lo-fi colors and black-and-white segments. Harry takes her turn at the wheel of a cab, illuminated with a “BLND3” sign, of course.
