Jennifer Boylan publishes new Falcon Quinn novel in support of #SpiritDay

Renowned author and co-chair of GLAAD’s Board of Directors Jennifer Finney Boylan has released Falcon Quinn and the Bullies of Greenblud, a new young adult novel benefiting GLAAD and Spirit Day.

The latest novel in the Falcon Quinn series follows the titular hero and his monster friends as they tackle their scariest challenge yet: the 9th grade.  An exciting adventure as well as a serious look at what it means to be different — Falcon Quinn and the Bullies of Greenblud is a hilarious, moving look at bullies and the bullied, at monsters and humans, at boys and girls–and adults–of all kinds. The book is available for purchase in both eBook and paperback form, with all the proceeds going to GLAAD. But today only, you can download your copy for free!

Jennifer served as a professor at Colby College before becoming the Writer in Residence at Barnard College in New York City. She is a bestselling author, whose 2003 memoir She’s Not There: a Life in Two Genders became the first bestselling work by a transgender American. In addition to her novels and memoirs, Jennifer is also a Contributing Opinion Writer at the New York Times Op-Ed desk.

Every year, millions of people “go purple” on Spirit Day to take a stand against bullying and to show support for LGBTQ youth. The visibility of celebrities, athletes, politicians, faith leaders, schools, and people like you taking a stand against bullying can change the world for LGBTQ youth, as we send a strong message to let them know that they are not alone.

Make sure you join GLAAD and Falcon Quinn on October 20th this year and go purple for Spirit Day!
