Tonight, TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta will feature a transgender bride for the first time. Precious Davis, a transgender woman living in Chicago, is joined by her two best friends at Bridals by Lori in Atlanta to choose the dress she’ll wear at her upcoming wedding to her fiancé, Myles Brady.

Davis, who is an advocate, performer, and Assistant Director of Diversity Recruitment Initiatives at Columbia College Chicago, says of her wedding, “We’re going to invite 1,000 people because we really want to invite the community to celebrate. We want people to be inspired of what love can look like in its many forms. We want to bring this kind of royalty because we are royalty. We feel we are a royal people.”
