Carriageworks, Sydney, Australia

A recent trip to Sydney for World Pride and Mardi Gras gave me the opportunity to head to Carriageworks, where I’d never been before, but knew it was industrial and would be a great opportunity to practice my architectural photography. The venue did not disappoint.
Besides housing the amazing Bloodlines exhibition by the phenomenal The Huxleys, a compact display of the Paul Yore exhibition that I saw in full in Melbourne a few months prior, and keeping a rich history of warehouse grunge with factory parts still contained inside, Carriageworks had also been turned into a queer First Nations meeting and entertainment space as part of World Pride – Marri Madung Butbut, meaning Many Brave Hearts.
