Yo guys I’m gonna start recommending you guys movies instead! So you better watch them! :DMan the suspense in the ending of Perfect Blue was just so unreal! I’m honestly still shaking a bit!Perfect Blue, an adult anime-movie, takes place in the 90’ies, and is about a girl named Mima, who gets tired of the pop world and pursues acting. And when she does this she continues to degrade herself, by allowing herself to do certain scenes she would never think of, of doing before. Other people are worried about her, and she starts to lose the grip on reality. At the same time strange murdders are taking place that seem to relate to Mima. She’s being stalked by an obsessive fan who apparently has a website of her where they keep a diary, pretending that it’s her who’s writing it while it is in fact not.First of all Satoshi Kon, who made and directed the movie, is an absolute genious. I’ve now watched every one of his movies! Don’t worry I’ll write about his other movies here too! But he just has a way of portraying characters as well as being a magician when it comes to playing visually with time and space! The animation in Perfect Blue has your typical “vintage anime” look that’s pretty common in the 90’ies. It’s handdrawn and colored, and only the subjects are in motion, which I think is a pretty cute and charming style! The use of music in this movie and voice-acting lead to a really. scary. film! I’m not even kidding this is honestly the scaries anime I’ve seen! It really gets under your skin, and is not for the lighthearted!Perfect Blue is actually what inspired ALOT of the scenes in Black Swan (the guy who made Black Swan even bought the rights for Perfect Blue!)But if you’re into psychological-thrillers, and want something that’ll really get your brain working and adrenalin pumping, you should honestly watch Perfect Blue! This is kind of a half-assed “review” but it’s kind of hard since there are so many great aspects in this movie, that it’s hard to get to it all!
