After the Ball Dropped: New Yorkers Get Into 2015
There are always plenty of options for New Yorkers to avoid the crowds and insanity of Time Square on New Year’s Eve. Justin Luke, Alan Picus, Joe Roszak, and the BoiParty crew brought the guys out to play at the hot new venue Shadow Boxers where Dj-Rico Alexis, DJ Dawson, Ryan Skyy, and William Francis rang in 2015 with style. Shadow Boxers has quickly become the “it” gay sports bar in midtown, always luring a hot and healthy crowd from every corner of Manhattan. Nearby, Hell’s Kitchen’s very own BPM hosted one of the largest extravaganzas in town: “First Light” where Tony Moran and Serving Ovahness spun the main dance floor as local favorite DJ Steve Sidewalk worked the children up in the lounge. The crowd was still living after champagne toasts, kisses from lovers and strangers but ended up partying well past sunrise and into brunch.
Downtown, Showbiz Spitfire Paige Turner knew many of her boys wanted to avoid Taylor Swift, the sea of NYPD, tourists, and fanatics of Times Square. She teamed up with East of Eighth and DJ Calvin for a special three course dinner, intimate performance, and plenty of balls dropping at midnight.
