9-1-1 spinoff 9-1-1: Lonestar will premiere tonight on Fox, before moving to Mondays. The new series, following a group of first responders in Austin, Texas, includes firefighter Paul Strickland. Strickland is a brilliant detective and trans man, played by trans actor Brian Michael Smith. 9-1-1 Lone Star: Sunday, 10pm on Fox.
Freeform’s The Bold Type returns for its fourth season on Thursday. The show features multiple queer characters include co-lead Kat. In the premiere, Scarlet reels over their new dynamic, forcing everyone to adjust. Meanwhile, Jane, Kat and Sutton join forces to show Jacqueline how much she means to them. The Bold Type: Thursday, 9pm on Freeform.
The second season of Hulu’s Shrill will be released on the streaming service on Friday. The show continues to follow Annie, and the ensemble includes her best friend and lesbian roommate Fran and her gay former boss Gabe. Shrill: Friday on Hulu.
