‘Transgender Pride Flag’

Downtown Seattle (January, 2020)
Today while out running errands and taking a few new photos i came across my favorite flag waving in the wind in Belltown, a neighborhood in Downtown Seattle.
Seattle is very diverse and there’s many Transgender people here which is very cool. I live in a very progressive city that values differences and i’m far from alone being LGBT.
Here in daily life you’ll likely interact with Gay, Lesbian, Transgender people at half the places you shop, dine, live, etc. If you insisted on not interacting with LGBT people, you literally could not survive life in Seattle. If you took issue with it, you’d stick out like a sore thumb. If you showed hate towards us for our differences, you’d find straight people defending us as well. That’s the reality of life here.
If there’s one thing i wish for Earth, it’s that all people someday reach a point where these differences don’t matter anymore and people simply live their lives without issue much like life here.
I may be different from most of you in this way but i’m no less human, creative, capable and all trans people like me deserve a chance to be seen as such instead of focusing on our gender only.
It’s a really simple thing to do, try to relate to us as people, put aside this for a moment and then learn our stories. We are just like you in more ways than we are different. 💗
