People waited in front of City Hall and couples lined up at the County Clerk’s office hoping to get married. A ruling was anticipated between 9 am and noon.
After noon, people cheered as they heard the stay had been lifted, But after reading a PDF of the decision on an iPad, people learned stay won’t be lifed til 5 pm on Aug 18th (if another court doesn’t overturn Judge Walker or grant more time)
