Netflix’s “Toy Boy” is all about male strippers showing off and solving murders

Move over Magic Mike because there’s a new gang of male strippers here to quench everyone’s thirst… and solve some murders while they’re at it.

Toy Boy is a Spanish thriller series that follows a group of sexy, musclebound male dancers as they navigate through all sorts of personal drama, including relationships troubles and solving murders. It also included lots of male gyrating, bare butts, and man-on-man love.

The show’s description reads: “After seven years in a Málaga prison, a male stripper is released pending retrial and sets out to prove his lover framed him for her husband’s murder.”

The series stars Jesús Mosquera, who was discovered by a casting director while working out at a gym in Malaga, Spain. After auditioning for a smaller role, he impressed producers so much they offered him the lead.

Season 1 of Toy Boy is available to stream now and Netflix just confirmed it will be coming back for a second season.

Ex-GOP Congressman Aaron Schock Finally Comes Out: ‘I Am Gay’

Ex-GOP Congressman Aaron Schock Finally Comes Out: ‘I Am Gay’

Aaron Schock, the former Republican congressman, confirmed what we all already knew on Thursday when he came out as gay in an Instagram post and on his website.

“For those who know me and for many who only know of me, this will come as no surprise,” Schock began. “For the past year, I have been working through a list of people who I felt should finally hear the news directly from me before I made a public statement. I wanted my mother, my father, my sisters, my brother, and my closest friends to hear it from me first.

“The fact that I am gay is just one of those things in my life in need of explicit affirmation, to remove any doubt and to finally validate who I am as a person,” he continued. “In many ways I regret the time wasted in not having done so sooner. …

Congratulations to former Congressman Aaron Schock on coming out and living your truth. But until you show remorse for, and do the work of correcting, your own actions against your community, you can fuck right the hell off. pic.twitter.com/1qLQv8S5aO

Reminder that if prosecutors hadn’t completely botched the case, Aaron Schock would likely be in prison for using your taxpayer money to pay for massages and Katy Perry tickets. t.co/h7vs0fiZPF

Aaron Schock wrote a long post about him coming out as gay and how worried he was telling his family and friends and whatever, but failed to even apologize to the LGBTQ community for the hatred he displayed towards us for MANY years. So he can fuck all the way off 🤷🏻‍♂️

Between Aaron Schock coming out after years of voting against gay rights and Rod Blagojevich’s commuted sentence, it’s a bad time for 2000s Illinois politics t.co/fluyK8AJkf

So Aaron Schock has finally come out. Good for him. That’s great.

In his coming-out note, he doesn’t say sorry for supporting efforts to stop same-sex marriage or his votes against repealing DADT or enacting hate crime laws.

He does say he’d support LGBTQ rights today. pic.twitter.com/XpIDiYUeBu

Parents don’t invite gay uncle to daughter’s wedding as groom’s folks disapprove

Parents don’t invite gay uncle to daughter’s wedding as groom’s folks disapprove

The mother of a woman getting married has turned to the internet for advice after she and her husband decided not to invite the girl’s gay uncle to the wedding.

Although they have no issue with his sexuality, their daughter’s future husband comes from a family that holds homophobic views. The mom, appropriately enough, posted about her dilemma to Reddit’s ‘AITA’ thread: short for ‘Am I The Asshole?’

Posting anonymously, “because I’d rather some people I know not see this,” she says:

“So my daughter’s wedding is soon, and we sent out invitations last week. Let’s call my daughter’s fiancé James just for this. James’ is a very nice man with good values and I believe he is perfect for my daughter. James’ family however is VERY religious, and after meeting with them before, it’s become pretty clear they’re extreme homophobes, especially his parents (James has no problem with gay people himself however).

Related: Older woman becomes Reddit hero for her reaction to a gay marriage proposal

“My brother is gay and he has a partner he’s been with for a few years now. James’ family knows about this, and it’s something they are really bothered by. They don’t directly tell us, but they’ve mentioned it to James who has told my daughter who has told me.”

She says, “My brother was always visiting our house and my daughter always loved to play with him when she was young. Our family has accepted him as part of the family, along with his husband who is a very friendly person.”

To cut a long story short, James asked them not to invite the brother. Mom resisted the demand, saying her daughter would want him there. Then James’ parents told them that if the brother attended, he’d have to attend alone.

“I proposed this to my brother and his partner and they did NOT take it well,” mom wrote. “My brother said that if he was coming, so would his partner. I then told him he couldn’t come because James’ parents would make a scene.”

Unsurprisingly, the uncle was upset at being asked to attend without his husband and the parents decided it best not to invite him.

“I didn’t invite him because James’ parents would make a big scene out of it. So AITA?”

As you may imagine, hundreds of people commented to say: Yes! You are an asshole!

One commentator said she was an asshole for, “One, for siding with the homophobic over the perfectly nice gay couple. That’s a homophobic choice.

“Two, for making this decision rather than letting it in the hands of the bride-and-groom. Not sure who died and made you the king/queen of this wedding.”

Many other commentators said that the bride should have been involved in the decision-making process.

“If my husband’s family said not to invite my best friend because he’s gay, I’d laugh them out of the church. That decision is to be made by the people getting married,” said another.

“Every time someone says ‘don’t invite X because I’m bigoted towards them’, the correct answer is to not invite the bigot,” suggested another, helpfully.

Related: Redditor worries he’s a ‘straight person pretending to be gay’

Others were even blunter.

“How dare you chose bigots over your brother?!? How dare you think you have a say in the guest list? How dare you not stick up for your brother to these assholes?!? How dare you not tell James that he needs to tell his parents to fuck off??”

It seems the hundreds of comments informing this woman that she is, indeed, an asshole, prompted her to think again. She later posted an update to her original posting.

“Update: My daughter has been informed of the situation and she wants her uncle to come, along with her partner, so that’s what’s going to happen. Judging by the comments most of you hate me but I’m going to try and right this wrong and will stand up for my brother and his partner at the wedding. And please I’m not homophobic.”

Voters May Decide Whether to Declare This South Carolina County an LGBT-Free Zone (VIDEO)

Voters May Decide Whether to Declare This South Carolina County an LGBT-Free Zone (VIDEO)

Last month, numerous outlets reported that one-third of Poland is now an “LGBT-free zone,” which means local municipalities have passed resolutions “against LGBT propaganda” and “pro-family.”

Now, believe it or not, voters in one U.S. county may decide whether to do effectively the same thing.

Joe Dill, a councilman in Greenville County, South Carolina, has introduced a proposed ballot measure that would allow voters to weigh in on an anti-gay resolution originally passed in 1996. The resolution states “that lifestyles advocated by the gay community should not be endorsed by government policy makers, because they are incompatible with the standards to which this community subscribes.”

UPDATE: Joe Dill is REALLY showing his true colors, and not in a good way whatsoever.

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD. Call your county council member and tell them this is EXPLICITLY ANTI-LGBTQ. And then when you’re done, CALL JOE DILL.

We’ll see y’all Tuesday. #HaltHate pic.twitter.com/I9eP8NT5xJ

— Upstate Pride (@UpstatePrideSC) February 29, 2020

The resolution also states that “the traditional family structure … has been proven to be the primary and best method for fostering a positive development in children” and “pledges not to fund those activities which seek to contravene these existing community standards.”

“This policy will serve and protect the health, safety and welfare of its constituents,” the resolution states.

Dill introduced his proposed ballot measure in the wake of a campaign by LGBT advocates to have the county council repeal the 24-year-old anti-gay resolution, which currently remains on the books.

During a standing-room-only meeting on Tuesday, the council voted 6-5 in favor of expiring all resolutions passed before 2012, which would have repealed the anti-gay resolution. However, the simple majority fell short of the eight votes needed for passage. The repeal provision initially cleared the council in an 8-3 committee vote. But two council members, including Dill, later switched their votes in response to pleas from religious conservatives who addressed the council, bringing Bibles to the podium and citing scripture.

“I as a Baptist preacher do believe there’s one way. That God’s way,” said David Shoemaker of Bethel Calvary Baptist Church in Travelers Rest. “You can’t get away from it, people. ‘In God We Trust.’ This is a biblical nation. County Council, if we get away from that, if we get away from biblical values, we won’t have the same Greenville that we have today. I beg of you, keep things as they are.”

Explaining his decision to switch his vote, Dill said: “When I got out here and I started hearing things that pricked my conscience and made me realize that I couldn’t vote for this because there’s a lot of stuff that was going to be killed in the 1996 resolution.”

“I heard the speakers,” Dill added. “I changed my mind.”

We. Will. Not. Give. Up.

Not at all the outcome we wanted. The fight is back to square one. But still, we persist.

See y’all in two weeks. #HaltHatet.co/eJs8A0sEnd

— Upstate Pride (@UpstatePrideSC) March 4, 2020

The council reportedly plans to take up Dill’s proposed ballot measure, which would allow voters to decide the issue in November, in two weeks. Upstate Pride, a local LGBT advocacy group, is pledging to continue its fight to have the council repeal the 1996 resolution.

Watch a report on Tuesday’s meeting below.
