Tiffany Haddish met a gay couple in a bar and offered to have their baby

Tiffany Haddish met a gay couple in a bar and offered to have their baby

Tiffany Haddish had a gangbusters 2019 — starring in Tuca & Bertie, going dramatic in The Kitchen, hosting Kids Say the Darndest Things, and debuting a Netflix stand-up special — but her last year could have involved surrogacy, too. The comedian revealed on Late Night With Seth Meyers recently that she offered her womb to a gay couple after meeting Rose Byrne, her costar in the new movie Like a Boss, for drinks at her hotel.

“I had got some of my medicinal vodka inside of me,” she explained. “We’re talking, she has some wine, I have my vodka, she has another wine, I have another vodka. Next thing you know, three hours had gone by. There’s these guys at the bar that I’m definitely not their type—they like, you know, men. And I start hitting on them. And once I get a little drink in me, I want to, you know, donate my womb. … I’m very giving.”

She went on: “I was like, ’Hey, you guys wanna have a baby?’ And Rose is like, ’Don’t say that to them!’ I said, ’No, they look like they love each other. If y’all want to have a baby, let me know. I’ll pay child support. Y’all can raise it. I’ll carry it, and I’ll breastfeed it for six months, and it’s all yours.’ And they was thinking about taking me up on that, I think.”

Ultimately, Byrne intervened before Haddish went through with her surrogate plans. “Rose was like, ‘No, Tiffany, you can’t do this. You need to go to your room,’” the Girls Trip actress recalled. “And then that’s when I knew we would be friends forever. She protected my womb.”

And once production of Like a Boss got underway in Atlanta, Haddish also introduced costar Billy Porter to one of her favorite institutions in the city: an all-male strip club cheekily called Swinging Richards. “Whenever I’m in Atlanta, you can probably catch me there,” she told Meyers. “I mean, it’s my favorite thing in the world is to see men dancing with no shirt on… or pants.”

DISCRIMINATION IN TENNESSEE — STATE LEGISLATURE SENDS ANTI-LGBTQ CHILD WELFARE BILL TO GOVERNOR’S DESK: “Lawmakers in Tennessee used some of the first minutes of their legislative session to enshrine discrimination into law,” said HRC President Alphonso David (@AlphonsoDavid). “These legislators are disregarding the best interests of kids in the child welfare system to create a ‘license to discriminate’ against qualified, loving prospective parents. This bill does nothing to improve the outcomes for children in care, shrinks the pool of prospective parents and is a blatant attempt to discriminate against LGBTQ Tennesseans. It is shameful that one of the first orders of business in Nashville was to target LGBTQ people. We urge Tennesseans to make their voices heard in opposition to this bill as it heads to the governor’s desk.” More from HRC.

WATCH: Straight man attempts to answer “gay questions”

The latest video from British YouTube vlogger Alexander Banks finds him quizzing a straight male friend and sports vlogger, Gabriel Anderson, with some gay-related questions.

“What is a platinum gay?” asks Alexander.

Gabriel suggests it’s a gay man who dresses up in women’s clothing and wears wigs.

Alexander, incredulous at the mix-up in terminology, points out Gabriel’s describing what is commonly known as a drag queen.

Gabriel also doesn’t fair great when asked what a “friend of Dorothy” is, or identifying iconic Drag Race moments.

Other questions include “What’s the difference between a bear and an otter?” and “What is douching?”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Gabriel demonstrates he hasn’t got much of a grip on most elements of gay culture.

The video is a follow-up to one that the two men did recently in which Gabriel asked Alexander sports-related questions. Alexander performed equally badly.

Kevin Bacon’s Killer Pleads Insanity as Police Seek More Victims of Grindr Cannibal

Kevin Bacon’s Killer Pleads Insanity as Police Seek More Victims of Grindr Cannibal

Mark Latunski, accused of murdering, mutilating, and cannibalizing 25-year-old gay hairstylist Kevin Bacon on Christmas eve, has issued an insanity plea. Bacon was found dead, hanging by his ankles in Latunski’s basement. The two had met on Grindr.

Kevin Bacon

Legal Reader reports: “His client will be sent to the Center for Forensic Psychiatry to determine if he is competent to stand trial.  If he is, he will then undergo a criminal responsibility test, which will determine if he was competent at the time of the crime.  Latunski will likely be sent for his evaluation after 60 to 90 days.”

Said Latunski’s lawyer: “Latunski believes he’s named someone else, he believes he’s from a royal family out of Wales, from the Thomas clan, and just the nature of the crime itself…what he did and how he did it has come out, just by that nature as an attorney, I have to send him for an evaluation. We are alleging that maybe at the time of the offense, he was criminally insane. The forensics center is pretty backed up right now so there’s a delay in getting people down there to get evaluated…So, for about at least the next 60 days, this case is going to be put on hold until we get all of the testing done…In my experience, especially a case like this, it’s going to take a little longer. If Latunski is found not competent, he will be hospitalized in a lockdown facility and be treated until he is deemed competent.”

Police are seeking other men Latunski met on Grindr, and know of at least two, the Detroit Free Press reports: “A New York man born in 1973 fled Latunski’s home, jumped a fence and called police after becoming frightened during a consensual sexual encounter on Oct. 10, Kaiser said. Then a 29-year-old Lansing man wearing only a kilt got ‘spooked’ during a consensual sexual encounter in which he was chained up in Latunski’s basement on Nov. 25, Kaiser said. He fled to a neighbor’s home with Latunski in pursuit of the $300 kilt. Neither man wanted to file a police report, Kaiser said. The New York man spent multiple more days with Latunski.”

Latunski had an account on the escort site Rent.men under an alias name, and had a history of mental illness including “recurrent and chronic major depression with psychotic features, adjustment disorder with depression and anxiety with paranoid schizophrenia, and borderline personality traits” according to the Detroit Free Press. He also had four children with a previous wife.
