Taylor Swift has tweeted her reaction to one of her fans choosing her music to publicly come out at his university.

Last week we reported on how Reid Arthur and a group of his friends took part in a Lip Sync battle on stage at the Quaker-founded, George Fox University in Oregon.

The friends chose to do a mash-up of the Taylor Swift songs “You Need To Calm Down” and “…Ready For It”.

During the routine, Arthur took center stage and his friends grabbed the sleeves of his sequined jacket. They pull on them to reveal a white top with rainbow ribbons hanging from the sleeves – to the delight of the audience who give a huge cheer.

Afterward, one of those on stage, Allie Schluchter (@AllieSchluchter) tweeted: “Tonight I helped one of my favorite people come out, and the love and joy that surrounded this moment is going to stick with me for the rest of my life. I’m so proud of you @reidoburrito95.”

On Friday night, Swift tweeted a response to the performance.

“This just made me SO emotional. @reidoburrito95 I can’t tell you how honored I am that my song has been even a small part in your journey. You did the brave thing and stood up for your truth.”

Needless to say, Arthur, a huge Swift fan, was blown away. He tweeted.

“This woman. My Queen. My Icon. The woman who’s lyrics I have screamed at the top of my lungs. Who’s songs have walked me through the hardest time of my life. TAYLOR ALISON SWIFT. MOTHER OF MEREDITH, OLIVIA, AND BENJAMIN, KNOWS MY NAME. TWEETED ME. I CANNOT CALM DOWN!!!!!”

He went on to tweet: “HOW AM I EVER SUPPOSED TO DO MY HOMEWORK EVER AGAIN.”

For those not clued up on Swift fandom, Meredith, Olivia, and Benjamin are the names of Taylor Swift’s cats.

Swift went on to have something of a memorable weekend of her own. On Sunday she scooped six American Music Awards at the annual ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. This brings her grand tally of AMAs to 29, beating Michael Jackson’s previous record of 24 AMAs.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders: Donald Trump ‘Reads More Than Anybody I Know’ — WATCH

Sarah Huckabee Sanders told Fox News’ Steve Hilton on Sunday and his panel, which included former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, that Donald Trump “reads more than anybody I know.” Sanders was reacting to claims in the new book A Warning, by Anonymous, that aides give Trump “dumbed down” briefings or risk enraging him.

President Trump “reads more than anybody I know,” @SarahHuckabee said on @SteveHiltonx‘s Fox show tonight pic.twitter.com/PgdaQflX22

— Brian Stelter (@brianstelter) November 25, 2019

Said Sanders: “I’ve watched this process play out so many times, sat in hundreds of meetings with the president, and the idea that he can only take in one or two bullets is absurd. I’ve watched him consume massive amounts of information, process it quickly and make decisions, and go. He reads more than anybody I know. Every single foreign trip we actually would laugh about the fact he has boxes upon boxes, file boxes where he reads for hours. The rest of us want to take a break, we wanna sleep, the president works the entire time. He will spend hours on the plane reading through notes, reading through newspapers, magazines. He consumes a massive amount of information constantly.”

In related news, Sanders is giving every indication she’ll be running for governor of Arkansas.
