Homophobe chases gay man out of subway and through the streets of New York in shocking video
Adam Eli was minding his own business when he was chased out of a New York City subway station by an angry homophobe telling him to “stay in the closet!”
The man was angry that Eli, a gay Jewish man, was wearing a pink kippah. He stormed after him, following up up the stairs and out onto the street, and accusing him of desecrating the name of God.
“Any man that lies with another man, it’s an abomination!” he ranted. “You’ll be murdered for it! Take the kippah off!”
Eli caught the confrontation on video and uploaded it to Twitter, along with the caption: “Trigger Warning: violent speech, harassment. I got harassed, followed and threatened on the street today. Someone was upset that I was wearing a pink kippah, carrying a purse and had a pride patch sewn onto my jeans. I am sharing the encounter for three reasons.”

Eli said he wanted to share the video to illustrate the harassment that many LGBTQ people still face, even those in cities like New York, which are often thought of as liberal safe havens.
“I spent the first 18 years of my life listening to people tell me I couldn’t be gay and Jewish,” he tweeted. “Today I love my queer jewish identity and nobody is taking that away from me.”
“This is a fraction of what our trans + GNC family get every single day. In this moment I was able to stand up to my attacker NOT bc I’m brave but bc I’m a white resourced man in a heavily trafficked place. We know what happens when a white man attacks a black trans women.”

Eli followed that up with a call to his “fellow cis white gays who generally ‘pass’ for being hetro in public.”
“This is whats out there,” he tweeted. “Most of the time we can get on the subway, go for a run or go on a date in peace. That does not mean our struggle for queer liberation is over.”
“Racism, transphobia, xenophobia, islamophobia, anti semitism and ableism hold hands. Our ancestors taught us none of us are safe until all of us are safe. Queer culture is not going to Equinox and getting brunch. Queer culture is about fighting for ur community.”

Fox News contributor Guy Benson marries partner in Napa Valley wedding
Fox New radio host and contributor Guy Benson married partner Adam Wise Saturday in a wedding ceremony at a winery in Napa Valley, California.
The ceremony was attended by former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly. Controversial correspondent Kelly can take some of the credit for bringing the two men together.
Benson, 34, came out publicly during an episode of The Kelly File in 2015. Watching the show was Wise, 24, who contacted Benson. He was inspired by Benson’s story of being a gay conservative. The two got together and, according to People magazine, “bonded over a Netflix binge session of Making A Murderer.”
The men got engaged in 2018.

Besides contributing to Fox shows, Benson hosts the Guy Benson Show on Fox News Radio. Wise is a consultant for the Federal Government.
The men married at the Charles Krug Winery in Napa Valley in front of 150 guests. On his Instagram, Benson describes himself as a, “Conservative, sports fan, foodie, wine enthusiast, traveler, lover of life.”
Benson told People, “What’s especially wonderful about this celebration is that in an age of so much division and partisan anger, our friends and family from across the ideological spectrum have joined us to celebrate our love,” Benson said.
“People talk a lot about inclusion, open-mindedness and tolerance; our wedding guests are living those values.”
Megyn Kelly was fired from NBC show Today in late 2018 after making comments about the appropriateness of blackface as part of Halloween costumes. She has yet to return to a major broadcasting role.

Of inviting Kelly, Benson said, “We don’t socialize all the time with Megyn; we’ll occasionally exchange notes, but just given what she did with us, with me, for me four years ago, there was no way that I was not going to invite her to this culmination of that journey that in some ways began on her show.”

“Over the course of two unforgettable evenings, we had the privilege of listening to *ten* toasts from our friends and family members. Usually, with such things, there’s a weak link along the way: Someone inevitably rambles on a little too long, strays into awkward territory, or has been slightly over-served. But not this weekend.
“Each and every speech was perfect — poignant, hilarious, moving. Not sure I’ve laughed so hard, or shed so many tears, in recent memory. We love you all so much.”
So many wedding pics to come, but figured I’d start with the moment our friend Jim, who’s deployed in Afghanistan, FaceTimed us during the reception. What a beautiful surprise. ???? pic.twitter.com/0ixw6tgjf1

America’s First LGBTQ Credit Union Approved to Launch in Michigan
Superbia, the first LGBTQ credit union in the nation, has launched in Michigan.
The Detroit Free Press reports: ‘On Monday, the state approved a charter for Superbia Credit Union. Myles Meyers, founder and CEO of New York-based Superbia Services, said in a post on LinkedIn that contained a photo of the signing of the executive order to approve the launch of the credit union, noting that it will be the “first financial institution solely dedicated to serve the LGBTQ community across the country.”‘
Bloomberg adds: “Superbia Credit Union will offer products which are often outside the scope of a more traditional lender, such as loans for transgender people in the process of transitioning, said Myles Meyers, founder of New York-based Superbia Services Inc., which created the credit union. … With the charter in place, Superbia will form a board and begin hiring executives. In addition to the credit union, Superbia Services plans to expand into products such as insurance, health care and wealth management specifically designed for LGBT customers, Meyers said.”
