Kentucky Must Pay $224,000 in Legal Fees to Gay Couples Denied Marriage Licenses by Kim Davis
Kentucky Must Pay $224,000 in Legal Fees to Gay Couples Denied Marriage Licenses by Kim Davis
The state of Kentucky must pay $225,000 in legal fees incurred by gay couples who were denied marriage licenses by bigoted Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis.
The Louisville Courier Journal reports: “On Friday, a three-judge panel for the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati upheld the district judge’s ruling that the state of Kentucky must pay the $224,000 in attorney fees and costs incurred by the same-sex couples. The governor’s outside counsel, Palmer G. Vance II, declined to comment Friday on the appellate court ruling, deferring to Bevin’s office.”
Bevin’s lawyers had wanted the bill handed to Davis. Said a Bevin spokesman: “We respect the court’s decision.”

I had a hole on the inside
There’s something missing inside of me
Sick and tired of all the cold nights
Alone I’d drink myself to sleep
But you picked me up and believed in me
And dug my heart out from the debris
You showed me love that I couldn’t see
Cause I was spinning
But girl you made my world stop
It all fell into place
When you met me
Like our souls are tied up in a knot
And nothing else makes sense
You complete me
Yeah you’re my missing piece
I fell in love with your bright eyes
I swear you’re everything I need
I’d pray to god for a girl like you
Then you turned up out of the blue
You’re like a drug, girl I need you so bad
And you’re the one
There’s no doubt about that, yeah
Just take my hand and let’s never look back
Baby believe that
