Pete Buttigieg Turned Down Offer from Tom Ford to Personally Style Him

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg passed on an offer from designer Tom Ford to personally style the 2020 Democratic candidate, according to a new profile in Vogue:

“Since Trump took office, he complains of a near-constant tension. He tries to feel hopeful. He believes that the greatest legacy of the current administration will be a broad reinvigoration of interest in politics and government. He is a huge fan of Pete Buttigieg and met him at a small lunch early in his candidacy, where he felt he picked up on something: At the table, on the stage, Buttigieg, for all his silken rhetoric, seemed to look smaller than he was due to the generous cut of his suit. Ah, thought Ford—here’s something I can fix. After the event, he texted Buttigieg’s husband, Chasten, and offered a bit of sartorial guidance to the campaign. They didn’t bite. ‘Obviously he can’t wear my clothes,’ Ford says. ‘They’re too expensive, they’re wrong, they’re not made in America. And besides, whatever he’s doing is working. So does anyone need to f**k with it?’”

Everyone’s been talking about reality star/professional dancer Curtis Pritchard lately.

Earlier this month, the 23-year-old Love Island contestant told the Sun that he didn’t feel comfortable labeling his sexuality and “wouldn’t rule out” being in a relationship with a guy.

“You can never put a label on anything,” he said. “It’s a cliche to say, but love is blind. I can never ever say what will happen in the future.”

Later, he went on Good Morning Britain, where he doubled down on his comments, even as the hosts pressured him to do what he expressly said he didn’t want to do: label his sexuality.

“I’m not labeling anything,” he reiterated, “because I don’t feel like I need to label anything.”

The exchange prompted plenty of criticism online, with many people feeling the line of questioning was disrespectful given the fact that Pritchard clearly stated that he wasn’t going to label himself.

But, evidently, Judge Robert Rinder, the openly gay star of the U.K. reality courtroom series Judge Rinder, is not one of those people.

In a new op-ed published by the Evening Standard, the 41-year-old judge has quite a few opinions about how Pritchard has handled his own coming out.

“I am all for privacy, but if you are the one to start a public discussion about your sexuality, you can reasonably be asked to see that conversation through,” Rinder writes, adding that he was “hugely underwhelmed” by Pritchard’s dodging the question on Good Morning Britain regarding his sexuality.

Rinder added, “Appearing on Love Island is an invitation to have your sex life discussed–suggesting afterwards that you might be bisexual is a guarantee that someone is going to want to know more.”

Rinder goes on to accuse Pritchard of exploiting his sexuality for attention, writing that he believes “that the pink pound can be a useful market to tap” but that there is a difference between “appealing to a gay audience” and “being all-out disingenuous.”

“People who know they’re straight, but refuse to label themselves in order to appeal to a broader audience, are at best indulging in financially motivated, crass flirtation and, at worst, being a cynical tease,” he opines.

We’re pretty sure Pritchard couldn’t care less what Rinder has to say, however. He’s been living his best life on Instagram while partying with Channing Tatum at male strip shows.

NYPD finally fires officer Daniel Pantaleo, who killed Eric Garner with a prohibited chokehold in 2014: ‘Pantaleo had not faced official sanction for his actions until now, only being placed on desk duty. SKID MARKS. More than half of Americans don’t change their underwear daily.

BERLIN. Police said Monday that security guards reported that overnight the window had been painted over.”

TENNESSEE. Sentencing set for man who beat gay man and bragged about it on social media: “The victim said they were drinking and playing bar games before he was beaten into unconsciousness. Ben Platt Will Do Anything it Takes to Be President in Ryan Murphy’s ‘The Politician’ — WATCH

The Politician, Ryan Murphy’s new dark comedy is a tale of ruthless political treachery, morality, fine-tuned image-crafting, and high school.

Ben Platt plays Payton Hobart, a wealthy Santa Barbara high school student whose goal is to be president of the United States. His test kitchen for that run is Saint Sebastian High School, where he’ll mount a campaign to become student body president and try to secure a spot at Harvard.

The series, which debuts on Netflix on September 27, also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Julia Schlaepfer, Laura Dreyfuss, Rahne Jones, Theo Germaine, David Corenswet, Bob Balaban, Benjamin Barrett, and Jessica Lange, who delivers the line of the trailer: “I don’t understand why calling a gay man a ‘buttmunch’ was such a scandal. That’s what gays do: munch butts and celebrate Halloween.”
