Police have made a third arrest in connection with the shooting death of Ronald “Trey” Peters, a 28-year-old gay social worker in Decatur, Georgia in early June.

The DeKalb Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest: “Lithonia, Georgia resident 19 year-old Tyreese T. Johnson, was arrested in Lithonia on July 31, 2019 for Felony Murder and Armed Robbery. Mr. Johnson is accused of shooting Mr. Peters and causing his death and taking property that belonged to the victim. Mr. Johnson is in custody at the DeKalb County Jail.”

Shaleeya Moore and Joshua Ellis have also been arrested in connection with the murder.

Peters was shot multiple times and killed on his way to work by two men who demanded his bag and used a homophobic slur. The shooting has been labeled hate-motivated.

Chris McNaghten is an openly gay strongman from Ireland.

“I’m the first openly gay strongman to come out in the UK and Ireland, possibly even Europe,” 30-year-old McNaghten tells the Irish Sun.

But that’s not what he wants to be known for.

“I want to be Ireland’s strongest man,” he explains. “I don’t want to be Ireland’s strongest gay man.”

“The shock that people have that you’re gay — I don’t think it’s something that matters to me. I generally just think it’s gossip.”

McNaghten says he’s noticed more than a few parallels between being a strongman and drag queen performances.

“Drag is about putting on a performance and about performing for people. It’s the exact same way whenever I’m on stage competing.”

He adds, “I absolutely love drag queens. They’re the mummies of the gay world.”

As for coming out, McNaghten says that took some courage, especially when coming out to his strongman peers.

“There was one person who was a coach to me and had been a best friend for a long time and it was important for me that he was okay with it and he accepted it,” he explains.

“I was just as nervous about telling him about it as I was about my dad. It was a wee bit emotional, that was just a massive weight off my back.”

Greenland Ice Sheet Experiences Biggest Melt of the Summer: 4.4 Million Swimming Pools of Water in One Day — VIDEO

Greenland Ice Sheet Experiences Biggest Melt of the Summer: 4.4 Million Swimming Pools of Water in One Day — VIDEO

Greenland’s ice sheet is melting at record rates thanks to a heat wave and a melt that began at the beginning of May rather than, as it typically begins, at the end.

CNN reports: “This July alone, Greenland’s ice sheet lost 197 billion tons of ice — the equivalent of around 80 million Olympic swimming pools — according to [Ruth] Mottram [of the Danish Meteorological Institute]. She told CNN the expected average would be between 60-70 billion tons at this time of year. The weather conditions that brought a heat wave to Europe last week have reached the Arctic, where scientists say they could trigger one of Greenland’s biggest ice melts since 1950, when reliable records began.”

The Guardian adds: ‘The trend is accelerating. Wednesday was by far the biggest single-day melt-off of the year. “This was one of the highest ever and it is possible today [Thursday] will be even bigger because the heatwave is continuing,” said Mottram. With more than a month of the melt season to go, 2019 is already one of the top 10 years for ice loss in Greenland. The extent is thought unlikely to beat the record in 2012, but Luke Trusel, an assistant professor of geography at Penn State university, said the strength of the melt was greater.’
