The Stonewall You Know is a Myth – and That’s OK: WATCH

The Stonewall You Know is a Myth – and That’s OK: WATCH

Who threw the first brick at Stonewall? NYT reporter Shane O’Neill wanted to get to the bottom of it, and the inconclusive results are laid out very well in this clip featuring historians, and some who were there.

Writes O’Neill: “Fifty years after Stonewall, we’re still arguing about what happened on that night. And that’s kind of the point: Stonewall was, at its core, about people reclaiming their narratives from a society that told them they were sick or pitiful or didn’t even exist. Getting to tell your own story is a gift, but it means that you have to contend with other people’s stories, and I guess that can mean arguing, maybe for 50 years straight. And that’s O.K.”

‘Harry Potter’ stars confirm Harry and Ron were crushing on Draco

‘Harry Potter’ stars confirm Harry and Ron were crushing on Draco

Talk about the “Erecto” charm! Harry Potter alums Tom Felton and Rupert Grint say that Harry Potter and Ron Weasley both felt certain stirrings for Draco Malfoy.

The confirmation came while Felton and Grint — who respectively portrayed Draco and Ron in the blockbuster film series — played a game of “Fact or Fan Fiction” in an In the Know video.

The first assertion? “Even while he was with Ginny, Harry was always in love with Draco.”

Harry Potter costars Evanna Lynch, Warwick Davis, and James and Oliver Phelps decided that claim was just the stuff of slash fanfic dreams, but Felton and Grint begged to differ.

“I think it was clearly a fact,” Felton said. “Harry was constantly crushing on Draco. He just couldn’t hide it.”

Grint, meanwhile, contended that Draco “made quite an impression on Ron, as well.”

“Yes, well, exactly,” Felton replied. “It could have gone either way, really.”

The cast of Harry Potter got real about romantic fan theories — and we’re freaking out

The Harry Potter cast answered questions about on and off-screen romances, hidden plot twists and myths in a game of Fact or Fan Fic ????????

A search for “Drarry” on FanFiction.net yields nearly 4,700 results, more than a third of which are rated M for “mature.”

One steamy Drarry story reads: “Draco began kissing down Harry’s jaw, making his way to the pale flesh of Harry’s neck. Draco nibbled gently at Harry’s ear and then at his neck. He tenderly bit into Harry’s tender neck. Potter let out a low, pleasure-filled moan and accidentally tugged a bit roughly on his lover’s hair.”

Apparently, Dumbledore wasn’t the only dude-lovin’ wizard at Hogwarts!

New York City high school valedictorian and aspiring actor Mason Bleu made a big announcement at his graduation, revealing to his class and those attending that he’s bisexual.

“I want to remind all of you to always be proud but to always remain humble,” Bleu advised the audience. “I’ve struggled to be proud of something all my life. Since I’m preaching about being proud today, it’d be hypocritical of me to continue hiding. I’m not someone who likes getting emotional so saying this is extremely personal and hard.”

“For a long time, I have struggled with my sexuality,” he continued. “I’ve dodged it and ignored it because I wasn’t proud of who I am. But today I’m changing that. I’m proud to be a bisexual man.”

The audience got to its feet, erupting in cheers.

Continued Bleu, emotionally: “I’ve struggled with being proud of myself for a long time because I was afraid that no one else would be proud of me and for me. But an important thing about being proud is that you should always be proud of yourself before you want anyone to be proud of you. On that note, I want to thank everyone for coming out today because I just came out so thank you for coming out. … Thank you so much and happy Pride!”

So I came out during my valedictorian speech. It was definitely the scariest thing I’ve ever done but the reaction was amazing. Thank you to everyone who supported me! #Pride2019 #LGBTQ pic.twitter.com/u8ih03NTJd
