RuPaul teases details about hotly-anticipated Netflix series

Rupaul on the step and repeat

Yet another season of RuPaul’s Drag Race may be wrapping up, but RuPaul Andre Charles isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

In addition to his talk show, which launches in select markets on June 10 for a three-week trial run, Ru just revealed new details about his upcoming comedy series, AJ and the Queen, which premieres on Netflix early next year.

AJ and the Queen is a show on Netflix, that comes out in January, that was created by Michael Patrick King and myself,” Ru revealed to Entertainment Tonight at DragCon L.A. last weekend.

He continued, “It is the most challenging thing I’ve ever done because it’s acting like a real human. Usually in acting roles I play the gay best friend or the neighbor. This is a fully rounded human being with all of the emotions.”

Ru plays Ruby Red, “a bigger-than-life but down-on-her-luck drag queen who travels across America from club to club in a rundown 1990s R/V with her unlikely sidekick AJ, a recently orphaned, tough-talking, scrappy 11-year-old stowaway,” in the 10-episode hour-long comedy series.

“We shot that for five months,” Ru explained. “We were in the writers room for two months. I had to memorize pages and pages of dialogue. It was a challenge, but I’m so proud of it.”

Watch.

Robert Mueller to Make Statement on Russia Investigation: WATCH LIVE

U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller will make a statement at 11 am ET from the Department of Justice.

It’s unclear at this time what Mueller will address, but there is speculation that since it is being done from the Justice Dept. that it may have been vetted by Attorney General Bill Barr, who lied to the American public about the findings in the Mueller Report. He has not spoken publicly since he was appointed in May 2017. Click HERE to open this page in a new window.

ICYMI: SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS LOWER COURT RULING AFFIRMING TRANS STUDENTS: Justices declined to hear an appeal over a Third Circuit ruling in Doe v. Boyertown Area School. “Again and again, federal courts have affirmed the right of students to use facilities that align with their gender identity, and this latest decision by the Supreme Court to reject an appeal to overturn Boyertown’s policy affirms that pattern of equality under the law for all students, regardless of gender identity,” said Robin Maril, HRC Associate Legal Director. He Wants a Committed Relationship, But He’s Afraid He’ll Never Get to Hook Up Again with Anyone Else: WATCH

He Wants a Committed Relationship, But He’s Afraid He’ll Never Get to Hook Up Again with Anyone Else: WATCH

Sterling was in a five year relationship. They broke up because he started wanting to hook up with other people, and he couldn’t understand how he was so in love with somebody but wanted to have sex with other guys.

When they discussed an open relationship, his partner said they could try it, but he would leave. It’s now been five years since that relationship, and Sterling is feeling as though he wants one again, but his biggest fear is that he’ll never hook up again.

What’s a horny gay man to do? Is it really about his independence or is are there other things preventing him from committing to the next guy? Matthew Dempsey offers some advice in the latest episode of his web series Cost of Two Sandwiches.
