MSNBC Commentator Accuses Pete Buttigieg of Making His ‘Gayness’ a ‘Huge Issue’ by Kissing His Spouse — WATCH

Because Pete Buttigieg kissed his spouse — a loving gesture made by heterosexual candidates hundreds of times in the past — MSNBC guest Chandelle Summer accused Buttigieg of making his sexual orientation “an issue.” Summer, an attorney and conservative radio host, was appearing in a segment moderated by Kendis Gibson with another guest, author Matthew Vines.

Here’s the other guest, Chandelle Summer, saying that @PeteButtigieg “made his gayness an issue in this campaign” by inviting @Chas10Buttigieg to the stage and sharing a kiss with him. “He could’ve said nothing and people would speculate about it, but he made it an issue.” pic.twitter.com/MCDdFRPzzU

Said Summer: “Clearly Pete Buttigieg has made his gayness an issue in this campaign. He’s brought his husband up on stage. They shared a kiss during his announcement. … I think he made it a huge issue. He talked about his spouse, Chasten, and the fact that they were married. This is not a typical candidate. He made it an issue. He could have ignored it. He could have said nothing. And people would speculate about it. But he made it an issue.”

Said Gibson after laughing at the remarks with astonishment: “I gotta disagree. All he did was do what many other straight couples have done.”

Adam Rippon on the ‘Scary’ Need for the Equality Act: WATCH

Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon appears in a new video for the Human Rights Campaign pushing for passage of the Equality Act.

Says Rippon in the clip: “I live in Los Angeles, California now, but if I packed up my clothes and threw them in my car and drove all the way back to Scranton, Pennsylvania, I would travel through so many states and every state I would travel to, my rights and my protections would change, and that’s scary. When I think about the other LGBTQ+ people that live in those states, if there’s a fear that you can be discriminated against, and that it’s okay, that must be a big thing to live with every single day. It’s important we don’t forget them.”

Adds Rippon: “The message that this legislation really sends to young LGBTQ+ people is that your identity should never be something that you feel is gonna hold you back.”

Anderson Cooper Throws Shady Political Barbs at Andy Cohen: ‘Has Aaron Schock Agreed to Be on the Show?’ — WATCH

Anderson Cooper Throws Shady Political Barbs at Andy Cohen: ‘Has Aaron Schock Agreed to Be on the Show?’ — WATCH

On Sunday night’s Watch What Happens Live! aftershow, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen got into some shady political wrestling, which somehow led to former congressman Aaron Schock.

Said Cohen: “Someone asked me over the weekend which of the Democrats I’m excited about and I was like, ‘It is too early. I am existentially exhausted by this two years in advance. Is there any part of you that feels like, ‘I can’t believe we’re all so full-throttle on this and it’s two years away?’”

Replied Anderson: “No. I feel like people have been engaged in ways that they’ve never been engaged over the last two years, whether you’re supporting the administration or not. So I actually think it’s not surprising the level of interest this early on.”

“When do you usually pick a candidate?,” probed Anderson after a pause.

“Now I think you’re being shady to me,” replied Cohen. “I just feel like, I’m still exhausted from the last election.”

Quipped Anderson, with heavy sarcasm: “Well you’ve been so deeply involved that it’s gotta be tough every night, you know, to be doing this show in the midst of that.”

“We’re deep in it,” said Cohen.

“Has Aaron Schock agreed to be on the show yet?” asked Anderson, digging deeper.

“Oh, Aaron Schock,” said Cohen with a sneer. “She has not agreed to be on the show.”
