Must-See LGBTQ TV: ‘Billions’ and ‘The OA’ return, and the ‘Black Lightning’ season finale

Grab the remote, set your DVR or queue up your streaming service of choice! GLAAD is bringing you the LGBTQ highlights on TV this week. Check back every Sunday for up-to-date coverage in LGBTQ-inclusive programming on TV.

The season four premiere of Billions airs Sunday on Showtime. The financial drama is notable for including one of TV’s first non-binary characters, Taylor Mason, played by non-binary actor Asia Kate Dillon, whose role has only grows bigger each season. In the premiere, Axe Capital closes ranks, determined to destroy Taylor. No longer U.S. Attorney, Chuck struggles to regain power. Taylor does what it takes to keep their new company afloat. Billions: Sunday, 9pm on Showtime.

The season two finale of The CW’s Black Lightning airs on Monday, drawing the “Book of Apocalypse” saga to an end. The second season of the superhero show has focused on lesbian hero Anissa and her romance with Grace Choi, whose powers have also become apparent this season. The GLAAD Media Awards-nominated show has already been renewed for a third season. Black Lightning: Monday, 9pm on The CW.

The long awaited second season of Netflix’s The OA will be released in full on Friday. The science fiction show includes trans actor Ian Alexander in the cast, playing trans teen Buck Vu. The second season follows OA as she navigates a new dimension, one in which she had a completely different life as a Russian heiress, and one in which she once again finds herself as Hap’s captive. The OA: Friday on Netflix.

Donald Trump melted down on Sunday morning after FOX News did not air Judge Jeanine Pirro’s show on Saturday night after the loudmouth litigator’s anti-Muslim remarks aimed at Rep. Ilhan Omar.

CNN reports: “Fox did not announce the suspension publicly. The network declined to confirm or deny that Pirro has been suspended. There is no word on whether Pirro’s show will return next week. At the same time, there is no indication that she has been fired from Fox. The source said she has not been fired.”

Tweeted Trump: “Bring back @JudgeJeanine Pirro. The Radical Left Democrats, working closely with their beloved partner, the Fake News Media, is using every trick in the book to SILENCE a majority of our Country. They have all out campaigns against @FoxNews hosts who are doing too well. Fox ….. ….must stay strong and fight back with vigor. Stop working soooo hard on being politically correct, which will only bring you down, and continue to fight for our Country. The losers all want what you have, don’t give it to them. Be strong & prosper, be weak & die! Stay true…. ….to the people that got you there. Keep fighting for Tucker, and fight hard for @JudgeJeanine. Your competitors are jealous – they all want what you’ve got – NUMBER ONE. Don’t hand it to them on a silver platter. They can’t beat you, you can only beat yourselves!

Trump also suggested there should be a federal investigaition of SNL after NBC aired a re-run of the show on Saturday night with a sketch that imagined what life would be like if Trump had never been elected.
